Accessibility
Accessibility statement
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at Level AA.
Ridgeline Residential wants everyone to be able to find an apartment, pay rent, send a maintenance request and reach the office on this site, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard alone, a magnifier or a switch device. The site is checked against the guidelines each time a page is added or changed, and the points below describe what that means in practice.
How the site is built
What you can expect on every page
Keyboard navigation
Every link, button, menu and form control can be reached and used with the keyboard alone, in a sensible order, and the focused element always has a visible outline. A skip link at the top of every page jumps past the header to the content.
Color contrast
Text and controls meet the AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds, including the white text on the navy bands. Nothing is conveyed by color alone: availability badges carry words, not only a tint.
Text alternatives
Every photograph has an alt text that describes what is in it, and decorative icons are hidden from screen readers. Headings are in order, with one main heading per page, so a page can be skimmed by its outline.
Forms
Every field has a visible label tied to the control, required fields are marked, hints are announced with their field, and the confirmation shown after a form is sent receives focus so it is read out.
Motion
There is very little animation on this site. What there is, hover transitions and smooth scrolling to anchors, is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
Layout and text size
Pages reflow to a screen 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling, and text can be enlarged to 200 percent in the browser without anything being cut off. Wide tables scroll inside their own box rather than the page.

Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, or you find content that is not accessible, call (555) 014-2700 during office hours, Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30, Saturday 10 to 2, or email hello@ridgeline.demo. Tell us the page address and what happened. We reply within two business days and fix what we can, and if something cannot be fixed right away we will provide the same information or service another way, by phone, by email or in person at the office.
Fair housing
Reasonable accommodation
Ridgeline Residential follows the federal Fair Housing Act and all state and local fair housing laws. If you or someone in your household has a disability, you can ask for a reasonable accommodation in our rules, policies or services, or a reasonable modification to an apartment, at any point from the first inquiry through the end of a lease. Ask the on-site office or the central office in whatever format is easiest for you. An assistance animal is never counted as a pet and is never charged a pet fee.
Ridgeline Residential is a fictional company and this is a demonstration site built by Apartment Web Design. The statement above shows what a management company's accessibility page should say and commit to.
